After the Dragon 32, an Atari 1040STF w/ b/w monitor was my second computer. It was sold later, when I switched to a 286 PC. In the meantime, I was happy to have a machine with a drive, and some decent software. Many hours were spent with FlightSimulator II.
I got this box around the end of my studies. Some guy wanted to get rid of it, didn't ask anything for it - I still gave him a couple of bottles of good wine. I was happy for the chance to get my hands back on an Atari of the ST family.
It is an Atari Mega ST1, with the high-res b/w screen, an additional floppy drive, and an additional harddisk. It came with the original boxes. There's some peripherals and software too, among which Signum DTP.
This system is still running, but it seems the harddisk is gone - it gave me three bombs when booting. The OS still comes up, access to the floppy drives is obviously possible.
