====== Dragon 32 ======

My brother absolutely wanted to get a computer at some point, probably because his best friend at that time had gotten himself a Commodore 64. Unfortunately, my brother didn't get the same one, but instead the Dragon 32. I say "unfortunately", because the C64 would most probably have been a better choice. At least, this Dragon had an excellent handbook with an introduction into BASIC programming - also, this BASIC dialect was comparatively good.

I had my first contact with a real (non-gaming-console) computer with this home computer. Not only that, but also with English. So, this machine had me making my first steps into my later carreer, along with the pre-requirement of the english language.

The one trouble I had with this machine is, I never could store / load anything, as it didn't come with a (horrendously expensive back then) floppy drive, nor even with a tape deck (our music cassette players didn't have the required interfaces). So, I had to type in my BASIC programs every time I turned the thing on. Also, our TV had to make do as the monitor. Needless to say that I never made it very far into the innards of the box.

Apropos innards. The company boasted:
